Beth Schanou collaborates with advisors to make a positive difference in the lives of the families we serve by charting a course toward meeting their financial goals. She is a planning resource for advisors on advanced planning topics such as generational wealth transfer, legacy planning and business exit planning, among others. Together, they are able to expand their impact reaching families across the country.

Beth joined Carson in 2005, then transitioned approximately 10 years later to broaden the reach of advisors and families with whom she works. Prior to joining the firm, she practiced law in the Kansas City metro with an estate planning concentration. She earned her J.D. with a certificate in taxation from the University of Kansas. Prior to that, she received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from the University of Nebraska-Kearney. She is a member of the Missouri Bar and licensed in Kansas as well.

Beth enjoys spending time with her husband, daughters and rescue dogs, and loves traveling with all of them to outdoorsy destinations like Colorado and Utah. She has been a dog rescue volunteer since 2004, providing transport and foster care for dogs in need.
